The Role
You’ll support site operations by maintaining and repairing production equipment and responding quickly when problems occur. Your responsibilities will include:
- Responding to breakdowns and diagnosing faults
- Electrical and mechanical maintenance activities
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Supporting installation and commissioning projects
- Working with PLCs, drives, motors, sensors and control systems
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
What We're Looking For
You don't necessarily need timber manufacturing experience. We're interested in engineers from:
- Armed Forces engineering backgrounds
- Heavy industry
- Aerospace
- Marine
- Manufacturing
- Utilities
- Industrial maintenance environments
You’ll ideally have:
- Engineering apprenticeship, military trade training or equivalent
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault finding skills
- Experience with control systems, motors, hydraulics or pneumatics
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Strong safety mindset
- 18th Edition knowledge useful but not essential
