If you've worked on vehicles, aircraft, weapons systems, marine systems, plant equipment, communications infrastructure or industrial assets - your experience could transfer directly into this role.
The Role
- Support site operations by maintaining and repairing production equipment and responding quickly when problems occur.
- Responding to breakdowns and diagnosing faults.
- Electrical and mechanical maintenance activities.
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
- Supporting installation and commissioning projects.
- Working with PLCs, drives, motors, sensors and control systems.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
You don't necessarily need timber manufacturing experience. We're interested in engineers from:
- Armed Forces engineering backgrounds.
- Heavy industry.
- Aerospace.
- Marine.
- Manufacturing.
- Utilities.
- Industrial maintenance environments.
You’ll ideally have:
- Engineering apprenticeship, military trade training or equivalent.
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault finding skills.
- Experience with control systems, motors, hydraulics or pneumatics.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong safety mindset.
- 18th Edition knowledge useful but not essential.
