We are seeking a Maintenance Shift Technician with a strong electrical background to support high-volume assembly operations at our client’s manufacturing site. This is a hands-on role focused on fault-finding, preventative maintenance, and keeping production equipment running safely and efficiently. This position is well suited to ex-military engineers, particularly from REME, RAF, Royal Navy, or Royal Engineers backgrounds, with experience maintaining electrical or electro-mechanical systems in safety-critical environments. If you are comfortable fault-finding electrical systems, following procedures, working to high standards, and taking ownership on shift, your skills will transfer well.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical fault-finding and maintenance of plant and machinery
- Planned preventative maintenance using CMMS
- Support production uptime, quality, and safety
- Work to H&S, LOTO, and environmental standards
- Assist with continuous improvement and new equipment installation
Skills & Experience
- Time-served electrical or electrically biased apprenticeship
- Experience maintaining industrial or automated equipment
- Strong safety mindset and ability to work on own initiative
- IOSH, CMMS, and CDM knowledge desirable
- Military qualifications and experience welcomed as equivalent
