Our client is seeking a Technical Services Equipment Engineer to join a highly skilled engineering team responsible for maintaining and improving specialist manufacturing and test equipment.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an ex‑military engineer who enjoys hands‑on engineering combined with project work, fault finding and continuous improvement.
The Role
Working as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and upgrading a wide variety of specialist manufacturing and test equipment used within a high‑technology engineering environment.
The role combines practical engineering with longer‑term improvement projects aimed at increasing reliability, reducing risk and supporting future business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Repairing and maintaining complex engineering equipment
- Delivering equipment upgrades and refurbishment projects
- Fault diagnosis and root cause investigations
- Supporting planned preventative maintenance programmes
- Working alongside production teams, engineers and specialist contractors
- Improving equipment reliability and lifecycle performance
- Supporting health & safety and engineering compliance
- Contributing to continuous improvement and asset management initiatives

This role would suit someone who has experience working with complex engineering systems and enjoys a varied technical environment. Ideal backgrounds include:
- REME Vehicle or Electronics Technicians
- RAF Engineering Technicians
- Royal Navy Marine, Weapon or Aircraft Engineers
- Experienced maintenance, manufacturing or facilities engineers
You’ll ideally have experience of some of the following
- Electrical or electronic engineering
- High voltage equipment
- RF or communications systems
- Vacuum or pressure systems
- Automated machinery
- Manufacturing or production equipment
- Preventative maintenance
- Root cause analysis
