If you’ve come from a trade background, engineering, plant, RE, or you’ve spent your career working to plans, hitting standards, and getting the job done safely, you’ll fit in well here.

This is hands‐on work across excavation, drainage, concrete, kerbing, paving and surfacing, supporting building and civils projects to a high standard.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Site prep & set‐out: clear, level and prepare sites to spec; plan materials/equipment ahead of tasks
  • Excavation: dig trenches for foundations, drainage and utilities (hand tools and/or machinery), keeping to depth and safety requirements
  • Concrete works: mix/pour/finish concrete for slabs, paths and foundations; install formwork and reinforcement
  • Drainage & pipework: install pipes, manholes and soakaways; ensure correct fall/levels, sealing and testing; brickwork to manholes/gulleys/service pits
  • Utilities: lay services (water/gas/electrical conduits) in line with regulations
  • Surfacing & hard landscaping: tarmac, block paving, kerbs, slabs; compact and finish for durability
  • Plant & kit: operate (where ticketed) and carry out basic checks/maintenance
  • H&S: work safely, use PPE correctly, report near‐misses, keep the site tidy and compliant

What we’re looking for:

We are able to consider anyone who has served in the British Military, provided you are comfortable working outside all year round, and have the desire to build a career within construction.

Why this suits many veterans:

You’ll be in a role where standards, reliability, teamwork, and doing things properly matter. If you’re the sort of person who plans ahead, looks after kit, and keeps the job safe and squared away, you’ll do well.
