Overview: Our client is a leading demolition and remediation contractor delivering projects ranging in value from £100k to over £20m. With a directly employed workforce and a modern, in-house plant fleet, they self-deliver the majority of their works across sites nationwide. Their continued success is driven by technical expertise, operational excellence, and a strong commitment to quality and safety.
As a Project Manager you will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. This includes managing budgets, programmes, subcontractors, and ensuring full compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and manage demolition projects from start to finish, including budgeting, scheduling, and forecasting.
- Manage DSM operatives and subcontractors, ensuring project requirements and deadlines are met.
- Ensure full compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the demolition process.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules, timelines, and budgets.
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure project objectives are achieved.
- Prepare and submit progress reports and relevant project documentation.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate potential project risks and issues that may impact programme or cost.
- Oversee site preparation and ensure all required equipment, materials, and resources are in place.
- Manage the disposal of debris and hazardous materials in accordance with waste and environmental regulations.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in demolition project management.
- Strong knowledge of demolition equipment, techniques, and relevant safety regulations, including BS6187 and BS5975.
- Hold a valid Demolition Managers CSCS Card.
- Proven project management capability, including budgeting, scheduling, and forecasting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
- Experience using project management software and tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- High level of attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
