Role Purpose: Lead the development of enterprise‑wide architecture, policy, standards, and governance frameworks for Artificial Intelligence, Data, and Information Management. Ensure organisational approaches align with strategic objectives, regulatory obligations, and industry best practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of AI, Data and Information Management policies, standards, and governance frameworks.
  • Define enterprise architecture approaches for data fabric, interoperability, metadata, information lifecycle management, and AI governance.
  • Analyse recurring delivery challenges and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Apply architectural guidance and lessons learned to medium and large‑scale programmes.
  • Collaborate with legal, security, risk, and technical stakeholders to ensure compliant and integrated solutions.
  • Establish best‑practice guidance for responsible AI and effective data management.
  • Review emerging legislation, standards, and industry trends and assess organisational impact.
  • Influence senior stakeholders and governance forums on strategic decisions.
  • Contribute to Communities of Practice (CoPs) and Communities of Interest (CoIs).

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Significant experience in Enterprise Architecture, Data Architecture, or Information Architecture.
  • Experience developing enterprise policies, standards, and governance frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of data management, interoperability, and information governance.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Ability to translate strategic objectives into practical architecture and governance approaches.
  • Must have SC clearance.

Desirable:

  • AI governance experience.
  • TOGAF or equivalent architecture certification.
  • Knowledge of data protection, AI regulation, and ethical frameworks.

Location: Base location will be Corsham – Expected 1 day per week at either Abbey Wood or London.
