My client was established in 1994 and is a leader in the delivery of high‑quality passive cabling solutions for the defence and other sectors. They are currently seeking additional engineers to join their established team. You will ideally be based in the Bristol region and reporting to the Engineering Manager.

DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO REPRESENT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EX MILITARY.

You will be working in a variety of environments – offices, manufacturing plants, construction sites, and data centres – and will occasionally travel and stay overnight as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, terminate, and test Cat6/Cat6a and fibre cabling
  • Carry out containment and pathway installations
  • Diagnose and rectify faults in structured cabling systems
  • Install Wi‑Fi access points, UPS units, and related equipment
  • Follow all safety standards, risk assessments, and method statements
  • Complete job documentation to company standards
  • Support wider business operations as needed
For Senior Levels (L2/L3):
  • Create and manage site‑specific risk assessments and method statements
  • Oversee project delivery to deadlines
  • Conduct site surveys and produce technical documentation
  • Liaise with clients and provide regular updates
  • Recommend solutions and assist with project change control
Essential:
  • CSCS/ECS site card
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Industry training (IPAF, PASMA)
  • Strong technical understanding of data/fibre installations
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Excellent communication and customer‑facing skills
  • Flexible, organised, and detail‑oriented
Desirable:
  • SC Security Clearance (or ability to obtain)
  • 3+ years’ experience in structured cabling installations
  • CNET CNCI qualification
  • Experience in defence, manufacturing, or data centre environments
  • Knowledge of JSP453, Tempest/Security regulations
