My client is looking for a dependable, detail-focused Safety Management System (SMS) Manager to join a growing technical team to provide support to the CMM, including but not limited to management of the SMS. Support in conducting audits in order to demonstrate compliance with regulatory standards, company procedures and safety policies.
Key responsibilities:
- Day to day management of the Company SMS
- Generation of Safety Action Group (SAG) material & hosting meetings
- Assisting AM to create & present Safety Review Board (SRB) slide-pack
- Assist with the production & implementation of the Part 145 audit programme
- Assist with control of the company authorisation system
Core elements will include:
- Promotion of the Safety Policy & SMS
- Conducting Safety Investigations in support of the SMS Programme
- Monitoring and providing feedback on the safety performance of the organisation
- Facilitation of hazard identification, risk assessment and management
Main Responsibilities:
- Management of company SMS
- Conduct Safety Investigations as required
- Daily administration & monitoring of the Occurrence Reporting System
- Monitoring and providing feedback on the safety performance of the organisation
- Report any findings or concerns to the CMM/ Accountable Manager / NP
Key Attributes:

Skills/Experience:
- Experienced and competent Investigator
- Detailed knowledge of EASA / CAA Part 145 Regulations and its practical application
- Practical experience in Part 145 environment
- Current in Safety Training (Including Human Factors), Fuel Tank Safety (FTS), Electrical Wiring Interconnecting Systems (EWIS) training
- Passport enabling travel to locations as required by the Company as part of the role
- Full, clean UK driving license
- Eligible to qualify for and hold UK airside security pass
- Proficient IT skills in Microsoft Office (Word / Excel / PowerPoint) etc.
Preferred training:
- Qualified Auditor experienced in aviation environment
- Detailed knowledge of Part 66 requirements
In return they are offering a good starting salary between £60000 - £70000 with 25 days holiday, company pension, 3% employer and 5% employee, possible bonus scheme, depending on personal and company goals, as well as continuing personnel development within the company.
