Electrical Engineers Wanted - Turn Technical Skills into Civilian Success

Whether your background is aviation, marine, communications, infrastructure, power systems, vehicles or defence equipment - your experience maintaining critical electrical systems could make you an excellent fit. We’re recruiting Electrical Maintenance Engineers to support production operations and maintain critical plant equipment. On-site work is either in Scotland, Wales, York, OR Peterborough.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for electrical maintenance activities that keep production running safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include:

  • Electrical fault finding and repair
  • Maintaining PLCs, drives, motors and control systems
  • Planned preventative maintenance activities
  • Supporting upgrades and installations
  • Diagnosing recurring faults and improving reliability
  • Maintaining safe working practices and isolation procedures

We’re interested in engineers with backgrounds such as:

  • REME
  • RAF Engineering Trades
  • Royal Navy Engineering Branches
  • Marine Engineering
  • Industrial Electrical Maintenance
  • Heavy manufacturing
  • Utilities and infrastructure

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Electrical apprenticeship, military training or equivalent experience
  • Strong electrical fault-finding skills
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings and schematics
  • Experience working safely around electrical systems
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • 18th Edition desirable but not essential.
