Key Responsibilities
- Programming and configuration of DMR/PMR radio equipment (Motorola, Hytera, Kenwood)
- Advanced fault‑finding and component‑level troubleshooting of digital radios
- Conducting detailed site surveys for distributed antenna system (DAS) deployments
- Carrying out maintenance, servicing, and repairs under contract agreements
- Providing both pre‑sales and post‑sales technical support
- Ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety requirements
- Delivering customer training and system handovers
- Performing precision soldering and use of diagnostic/test equipment
- Maintaining accurate technical records and equipment documentation
- Building strong relationships and communicating effectively with customers
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the business radio engineering sector
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve RF interference and intermodulation issues
- Hands‑on experience with distributed antenna systems
- Knowledge of EMF testing and Ofcom compliance standards
- Willingness to travel and work away from home when required
- Experience with VoIP and IP networking
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- City & Guilds qualification in Radio Engineering
- HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- ECS card holder
- Experience integrating body‑worn cameras and CCTV with radio systems
