My client is seeking a skilled Field Engineer to join a growing engineering team supporting clients across London and the South East. This role involves installing, deploying and configuring IT hardware at a variety of customer sites while ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain and deploy IT networking and point-of-sale hardware
- Configure hardware and troubleshoot installation issues
- Ensure smooth integration with existing client systems
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers on-site
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations and service activities
- Collaborate with the service desk to deliver effective customer solutions
- Participate in an on-call rota including out-of-hours support
Skills & Experience
- Strong networking and cabling experience, ideally across multiple networking technologies (Cisco experience beneficial)
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently
- Excellent time management and punctuality
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Self-motivated with a problem-solving mindset
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing environments
- A strong team player
- Desirable (but not essential) Experience with ServiceNow
- Essential Full, clean UK driving licence as a company vehicle and fuel card is provided
What's on offer
This role would be an ideal role for anyone who has a good understanding of IT networks as full training will be provided and then the ability to progress within the company as they like to start everyone in this function and after being here for a couple of years, it will depend on where you wish to grow within the company as a lot of the senior management team have started in this role. In return they are offering a good starting salary of £30k, as well as the on call bonus you get of £3k even if you don't get called out and with Over Time, you can realistically earn about £40k per year. With benefits that also include, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, company pension scheme, life assurance, training and development tailored to your career goals, as well as other benefits.
