Salary: £50,000 - 55,000 per year
Requirements:
- Strong commercial software engineering experience.
- Minimum 3 years of civilian/commercial experience as a Software Engineer.
- Python.
- Linux.
- Bash.
- Degree or equivalent experience in Software Engineering or a related discipline is desirable.
- Existing SC clearance is highly desirable.
- Must be eligible and willing to obtain and maintain SC clearance where required.
- Desirable: Terraform.
- Desirable: Ansible.
- Desirable: Kubernetes / K8s.
- Desirable: Helm.
- Desirable: Docker.
- Desirable: Jenkins.
- Desirable: R&D project experience.
- Desirable: Experience working within secure or Defence environments.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and code software solutions.
- Work within Agile teams and take an active role in sprint planning, refinement, and retrospectives.
- Write technical and design documentation.
- Work within DevOps environments and associated tooling.
- Investigate and resolve complex customer issues, including third-line support.
- Translate customer and technical requirements into practical solutions.
- Support project planning, estimation, and technical delivery.
- Research new technologies and improve engineering practices.
- Provide technical input to wider business functions.
- Mentor and support colleagues within the engineering team.
