My client is a well-established and successful local and national Ship Repair, Fabrication and Engineering service provider for the off and on shore oil industry. Due to continued growth, expansion, and long-term contracts they are looking to add to their skilled team of employees at their dry dock, engineering, and fabrication facilities across Scotland in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Greenock and Troon.

Experience in pipework fabrication and repair is essential and as part of this role, you will:
- Be able to work under your own supervision, and as part of a team to provide a high-quality service to meet customer expectations.
- Work on workshop-based fabrication and welding projects, ship repair contracts in our dry dock facility working on mainly offshore supply vessels, tugs, tankers, ferries, and tugs.
Job specific skills and requirements would include but not be limited to:
- Experience in pipework fabrication and repair is essential.
- Flexibility in ferrous and non-ferrous.
- Ability to interpret and understand schematic drawings.
- Ability to work in a busy and challenging repair shipyard/dry dock environment.
- Availability to work extended shifts with weekday overtime and weekend working at premium rates of pay, above the yard’s normal 39-hour working week.
- Willingness to work at one of their other facilities in Aberdeen, Leith, or Troon.
- Willingness to travel and carry out similar tasks at other yards operated by the company or to remote locations dictated by the customer.
- Positive attitude towards health and safety requirements.
- UK driving licence.
In return they are offering a good hourly rate, which starts at £19.77 per hour, and then can increase with experience to £27.04 as a foreman, as well as 34 days holiday per year with 5 of these allocated over the Christmas and New Year period, Private medical with additional dental and optical plans, Company pension, Life insurance and Company income protection scheme.
