My client is an innovative IT services organisation, which is 100% dedicated to the channel and who are now looking for an additional Field Engineer to join its growing team of engineers to be based in the Southwest England, covering Turo to Swindon area and you will be ideally based in the Bristol/Bath region.
You will be reporting to the Engineering Supervisor and also a team leader who is a veteran, and you will be responsible for, and involved with, installation and deployment of cables and IT hardware on various client sites and will be expected to drive (using the company’s vehicle) to the client’s premises, equipped with all it takes to get the job done.

To be eligible for this role you will need the following key skills:
- Strong networking and cabling experience
- Ability to install, configure and troubleshoot a wide range of networking technologies from leading manufacturers, including Cisco
- Ideally have a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) qualification, or equivalent experience
- Experience dealing with customers

- Strong communication skills
- Ability to communicate and manage customer expectations
- Flexible approach to customer and company’s requirements
- Energetic, self-motivated, and disciplined
- Collaborate with other functions internally and externally to ensure exceptional customer experience.
Pre-employment screening (including a DBS check) will be carried out ahead of starting at with my client. SC clearance would also be highly desirable, but not essential.
This could be an ideal role for someone who has very basic IT skills and knowledge as full training is given and with further training and development on offer. In return they are offering a long-term career development in a high-growth business, a starting salary circa £28 - 30k as well as a company van and fuel card, pension scheme, life Assurance, 25-day holiday allowance, plus bank holidays, paid charity day as well as a number of other benefits. And with the Overtime and On-Call payments of £250 per week, with the rotation being one week in three, you can potentially increase your salary by £10 – 15k per annum.
