We're supporting a globally recognised defence and technology organisation as it expands its presence across Central and Eastern Europe. Poland is a key strategic market, and this is a rare opportunity to become the commercial lead responsible for establishing and growing a significant defence business.
This role is for someone who enjoys being in front of people, spotting opportunities before anyone else, connecting the right stakeholders and turning conversations into long-term strategic partnerships. If you've served in the Armed Forces and successfully transitioned into defence industry, procurement, programme delivery or commercial business development, we'd particularly like to hear from you. Equally, exceptional civilian candidates with the right defence background and network are encouraged to apply.
Working as part of a growing European team, you'll lead business development activity across Poland, identifying and shaping new opportunities within the defence and national security sector. You'll engage with senior military leaders, government ministries, procurement organisations and defence industry partners, helping position the organisation as a trusted long-term partner to the Polish Armed Forces and wider defence community.
Initially operating in a highly autonomous capacity, you'll play a pivotal role in establishing the organisation's commercial presence in Poland, with plans to establish a dedicated legal entity as the business continues to grow. This is a genuine opportunity to build something from the ground up, with significant scope to influence future strategy and help shape the organisation's long-term presence in one of Europe's fastest-growing defence markets.

- Building trusted relationships with military leaders, government departments, procurement authorities and defence industry partners.
- Acting as the commercial lead for direct business development activities within Poland.
- Leading and supporting capture planning, bid strategy and proposal development.
- Monitoring defence programmes, procurement activity and emerging market opportunities.
- Representing the organisation at defence exhibitions, conferences and industry events.
- Working closely with colleagues across the UK and Europe to support wider NATO and allied defence programmes.
Ideally, you'll likely bring a combination of defence procurement or government defence experience, experience within the defence industry in business development, capture, sales or strategic partnerships, knowledge of one or more of:
- Defence logistics
- Sustainment
- Air and missile defence
- Military systems support
- Autonomy and advanced defence technologies

- Based in Poland and willing to travel nationally, with occasional travel across Europe.

- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment with a high degree of autonomy.
