Our client is seeking a Planner to support the successful delivery of complex engineering and construction projects across a range of sectors, including data centres, advanced manufacturing, logistics, pharmaceuticals, and industrial developments.

Working as part of a project delivery team, you will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and monitoring project programmes, ensuring that project milestones, procurement activities, and construction schedules remain aligned with delivery objectives. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in planning, scheduling, operations coordination, or project controls who are looking to further develop their careers within a fast-paced construction and engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of baseline project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Support the preparation of tender and pre-construction programmes.
  • Develop and maintain look-ahead programmes and construction schedules.
  • Monitor progress against programme milestones and identify potential delays.
  • Assist in the development of mitigation and recovery programmes where required.

Progress Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track site progress and update project schedules on a regular basis.
  • Collect and analyse information from project teams to support schedule updates.
  • Produce weekly and monthly progress reports for project stakeholders.
  • Monitor design and procurement activities to ensure alignment with project schedules.
  • Support the preparation of performance reports, KPIs, and programme updates.

Project Coordination

  • Liaise with project teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to obtain programme information.
  • Support resource planning and workload management activities.
  • Assist with risk identification and contingency planning.
  • Work closely with senior planning and project management teams to support successful project delivery.

  • Experience coordinating resources, labour, materials, or workloads.
  • Experience monitoring project progress and adjusting plans where required.
  • Experience producing reports, KPIs, and performance updates.
  • Experience working within fast-paced operational, engineering, manufacturing, or construction environments.
  • Experience using ERP, MRP, or scheduling systems would be advantageous.
