Our client is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to support the delivery of major construction projects across a range of sectors, including industrial, logistics, pharmaceutical, advanced manufacturing, and data centre developments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects remain safe, compliant, and aligned with all relevant health, safety, and environmental requirements. This role plays a key part in driving a positive safety culture across multiple project teams and ensuring the highest standards of operational excellence are maintained.

This opportunity is particularly suited to experienced Health & Safety professionals, military safety specialists, engineering managers, or operational leaders who are accustomed to working in demanding environments where safety and compliance are critical.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the implementation and promotion of health and safety policies across construction projects.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits, providing feedback and recommendations to project teams.
  • Monitor the close-out of actions arising from inspections and incident investigations.
  • Support project teams with accident investigations and corrective action plans.
  • Review and assess risk assessments and method statements.
  • Ensure site inductions, welfare facilities, permits to work, and statutory notices are in place and maintained.
  • Monitor COSHH compliance and environmental controls.
  • Promote a positive safety culture and challenge unsafe behaviours where necessary.
  • Produce reports and provide updates to senior leadership teams.
What We’re Looking For:
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Experience working within a construction environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong organisational, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively within fast-paced project environments.
