We're recruiting for a Production Technician to join a growing British engineering manufacturer producing high-quality electro-mechanical products used in demanding environments. This is an excellent opportunity for former REME, Royal Engineers, Royal Signals, RAF Engineering Trades, Royal Navy Engineering Technicians, or anyone with strong hands-on technical skills who enjoys building, testing and fault-finding precision equipment.
The Role
Working within a skilled production team and reporting to the Production Manager, you'll assemble, test and calibrate electro-mechanical products while ensuring every unit meets strict quality and safety standards. You'll work from technical drawings, work instructions and engineering documentation, helping to deliver high-quality products whilst contributing to continuous improvement across the production facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and test electro-mechanical products to exact specifications.
- Interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals and work instructions.
- Carry out testing and calibration, recording results within the QA system.
- Maintain exceptional quality standards throughout the build process.
- Identify opportunities to improve production methods and product quality.
- Work safely whilst following all Health & Safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organised workspace using 5S principles.
- Support and mentor colleagues when required.
