Senior Business Analyst vacancy in London- hybrid (302DM)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support the delivery of complex digital transformation programmes within a highly secure environment.

This role would suit someone who is confident working in fast-paced delivery environments, enjoys solving complex problems, and can bring structure and clarity to evolving business and user needs.

You’ll work closely with stakeholders, Product Owners, delivery teams and technical specialists to understand challenges, define requirements, improve processes and help ensure the right solutions are delivered.

You’ll need a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the confidence to work directly with customers throughout the full delivery process.

Note: Current eDV clearance is essential for this role.

What you’ll be doing

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a key role in helping teams understand what needs to be delivered, why it matters and how best to approach it.

• Working with stakeholders to identify business problems, objectives and desired outcomes.
• Understanding user needs and translating them into clear, actionable requirements and user stories.
• Helping delivery teams define and prioritise work against an agreed MVP, sprint goals and scope.
• Supporting the Product Owner with backlog creation, refinement and prioritisation.
• Defining functional and non-functional requirements.
• Writing clear acceptance criteria to support development and testing.
• Mapping current and future business processes using As-Is and To-Be models.
• Supporting testing activities to ensure delivered functionality meets user and business requirements.
• Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams.
• Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Building strong stakeholder relationships and managing expectations throughout the delivery lifecycle.

What we’re looking for

You’ll bring strong commercial experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within complex, secure or highly regulated digital environments.

We’re particularly interested in experience across:

• Stakeholder engagement and management
• Agile delivery methods, including Scrum, Lean and Kanban
• User stories and acceptance criteria
• Functional and non-functional requirements
• Business process modelling
• Product backlog management
• Working with cross-functional delivery teams
• Customer-facing delivery
• Continuous improvement
• Digital transformation programmes and service delivery

Desirable experience

It would also be beneficial if you have experience with:

• Data mapping
• APIs and API-driven services
• Security clearance
• Due to the nature of the work, current eDV clearance is a mandatory requirement for this position.

Interview process

You’ll take part in a technical and competency-based interview focused on your Business Analysis experience, problem-solving approach, delivery knowledge and ability to work within complex environments.

Final Interview

The final stage will include:

• A 10-15 minute presentation
• A panel interview with colleagues from different areas of the business
