Jonas Fintech is a profitable Saa S business operating in the UK payments market, with brands Paygate and London & Zurich delivering Direct Debit and Bacs payment solutions.
- What You'll Be Doing
- Own commercial strategy for both brands, assessing performance against growth plans and resetting direction where needed.
- Drive execution of the growth strategy across both brands, with full accountability for commercial performance (total revenue, growth, base‑to‑base sales, pricing strategies).
- Lead two distinct sales motions in parallel: renewal‑timed competitor displacement (Paygate) and inbound/partnering (London & Zurich), each with its own cadence and metrics.
- Direct the marketing function: manage two marketing team members, brand positioning, demand generation and go‑to‑market execution.
- Lead commercial negotiation on partnering agreements, including review of legal contracts and liability terms.
- Collaborate with the CPO and CTO to align product roadmap with commercial opportunity.
- Collaborate with the COO to ensure operational delivery matches sales promises.
- Work with the Head of Compliance to ensure commercial activity operates within regulatory requirements.
- Represent the commercial perspective in wider business strategy discussions at SLT level.
- Manage a team of approximately seven: two sales lines (new business and account management), two marketing roles, one business development/telemarketing role, and a sales administrator.
- Operate remotely with expectation to attend in‑person town halls and Vesta Group events, and to travel to partners and clients as required (travel expenses covered).
- Candidate Profile
- Experience operating in a regulated industry with sales teams under regulatory constraints (FCA experience preferred).
- Proven track record of setting and evolving commercial strategy and delivering on growth plans.
- Experience managing multiple sales motions concurrently with distinct metrics and cadences.
- Strong commercial success in a sales leadership role.
- Demonstrated people‑management skills and ability to read and negotiate complex commercial contracts.
- Collaborative style with product, operations, and compliance functions.
- Knowledge of Direct Debit or Bacs domains is an advantage but not essential.
