You will also play a key role in business development — building client relationships, defining value propositions, and contributing to the growth of our legal services transformation practice.

Your role will include:

  • Strategic Leadership & Programme Ownership
    • Define the overall transformation strategy and roadmap for clients in the legal services industry – covering digital modernisation, operating-model change, cost-to-serve optimisation, and end-to-end matter lifecycle redesign.
    • Lead programme initiation, planning, execution, and delivery: ensuring initiatives meet objectives on scope, time, cost, and quality.
    • Oversee multiple transformation workstreams (e.g., GBS, process optimisation, service management, enabling technology deployment, data strategy and governance, organisational design, AI/automation, matter management, and client experience).
    • Ensure interdependencies, risks, resources and benefits are identified and managed, with clear governance and reporting.
  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement
    • Act as primary senior-level point of contact with legal services clients (leadership groups, transformation leadership, business unit, practice, regional and functional heads).
    • Build trusted advisory relationships, influencing stakeholder alignment, and ensuring buy-in across business and operational teams.
    • Facilitate workshops and process design sessions to co-create future-state models, transformation blueprints, business cases, organisational structures and operating models.
  • Programme Management Excellence
    • Manage resources, budgets and financials for transformation programmes; ensure commercial discipline and profitability.
    • Provide leadership and mentoring to project teams; foster a high-performance culture and build internal capability.
  • Consulting & Business Development
    • Identify new business opportunities within the legal services sector — leveraging industry knowledge and client relationships to win new engagements.
    • Develop proposals, shape service offerings, and support go-to-market strategy for the legal services transformation practice.
    • Represent the firm and contribute to thought leadership: participate in industry forums, speak at events, and contribute insights about legal services transformation trends (digital, AI/ automation, operating-model change, workforce shifts and changing client expectations).
    • Understand legal services business dynamics, regulatory environment, compliance, and operational constraints — shaping transformation solutions that are realistic, pragmatic, and deliver measurable value.

We are looking for people to join our team who embrace change and bring us ever greater breadth and depth of expertise. The quality of our technical skills is enhanced through our practical knowledge of implementation and our ability to learn from each other.

Although not essential, in addition to the core skills above, we would welcome any of the desirable experience below:

    • Litigation and dispute resolution: representing clients in legal disputes, whether through court proceedings (litigation), arbitration, mediation, or other alternative methods to resolve conflicts.

    • Capital markets: advises companies, financial institutions, and governments on raising capital by issuing securities like shares and bonds on public exchanges.
    • Projects: legal counsel for the development, financing, construction, and operation of large-scale infrastructure and industrial projects across various sectors.
    • Structured Finance: creating complex financial instruments and transactions, often involving securitisation, to manage risk and raise capital for specific assets or revenue streams.
