We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the day-to-day financial management of a growing organisation. This role will provide accurate, timely and commercially focused financial information to support business planning, operational decision-making and long-term performance. The successful candidate will be a confident finance professional who can balance strong technical knowledge with a practical, collaborative approach.
Key responsibilities
Key responsibilities will include overseeing monthly management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow reporting; managing the preparation of statutory accounts and audit requirements; monitoring financial performance against agreed targets; and providing clear analysis and recommendations to senior stakeholders. You will maintain robust financial controls, ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations, and identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting and efficiency. The role will also involve overseeing accounts payable and receivable, payroll coordination, balance sheet reconciliations and the management of finance systems and records. Where applicable, you will supervise, support and develop members of the finance team.
Qualifications
Applicants should be professionally qualified or working towards a recognised accounting qualification, with substantial experience in a finance management or similar role. You will have strong knowledge of management accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and internal controls, together with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Experience using accounting software and advanced spreadsheet functions is essential, as is the ability to present complex financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial colleagues. The ideal candidate will be organised, commercially aware and comfortable working to deadlines in a changing environment. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, integrity and a proactive approach are also important.
