We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the day-to-day financial management of a growing organisation. This role will provide accurate, timely and commercially focused financial information to support business planning, operational decision-making and long-term performance. The successful candidate will be a confident finance professional who can balance strong technical knowledge with a practical, collaborative approach.
Key responsibilities
- Overseeing monthly management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow reporting.
- Managing the preparation of statutory accounts and audit requirements.
- Monitoring financial performance against agreed targets.
- Providing clear analysis and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Maintaining robust financial controls and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, reporting and efficiency.
- Overseeing accounts payable and receivable, payroll coordination, balance sheet reconciliations and the management of finance systems and records.
- Supervising, supporting and developing members of the finance team where applicable.
Qualifications
- Professionally qualified or working towards a recognised accounting qualification, with substantial experience in a finance management or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of management accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience using accounting software and advanced spreadsheet functions is essential.
- Ability to present complex financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial colleagues.
- Organised, commercially aware and comfortable working to deadlines in a changing environment.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, integrity and a proactive approach.
