Group Finance Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Group Finance Manager to join a growing and commercially focused organisation. This is a senior role with responsibility for overseeing financial reporting, management information and financial control across multiple entities or business areas. The successful candidate will provide insightful analysis and support strategic decision-making at a senior level.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, operational teams and external advisers, you will lead a high-performing finance function and ensure that robust processes, accurate reporting and strong governance are maintained. This role would suit a qualified accountant with substantial experience in a group, multi-site or complex commercial environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual group management accounts and reporting packs.

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning and variance analysis.

  • Manage the consolidation of accounts across multiple entities, including intercompany reconciliations.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, statutory requirements and internal policies.

  • Support the preparation of statutory accounts and coordinate external audits.

  • Monitor cash flow, working capital and financial performance, providing clear recommendations to senior leadership.

  • Develop and improve financial controls, systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

  • Lead, mentor and develop finance team members, promoting a collaborative and accountable culture.

  • Partner with non-finance stakeholders to improve commercial understanding and financial outcomes.

About you

You will be a fully qualified accountant, or qualified by significant relevant experience, with a strong technical understanding of group reporting and financial control. Experience within a multi-entity, fast-paced or changing environment is highly desirable, as is confidence working with senior stakeholders.

You should have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly. A proactive approach, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities are essential. Experience with finance systems, reporting tools and process improvement initiatives would also be advantageous.

This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful contribution in a visible leadership position, with scope to influence performance, strengthen financial operations and support future growth.
