We're partnering with a highly successful, entrepreneurial financial services business to recruit a Financial Controller as they continue through an exciting period of growth. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an ambitious and commercially driven organisation with a genuinely strong culture. The business has grown rapidly, has further significant plans ahead, and is looking for a talented finance professional who wants to develop their career alongside that journey.

Reporting into the senior finance leadership team, you'll take ownership of the financial control environment while playing a key role in developing the finance function as the business scales.

The role

  • Financial reporting and month-end ownership
  • Management and statutory accounts
  • Cash flow and working capital management
  • Budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
  • Developing robust financial controls and processes
  • Supporting audit, tax and regulatory requirements
  • Improving systems, reporting and finance processes
  • Providing commercial insight to senior stakeholders
  • Supporting wider strategic projects as the business continues to grow

Who we're looking for

This could particularly suit one of two profiles:

  • A first move from practice — likely ACA/ACCA qualified, commercially minded and looking for the opportunity to take genuine ownership within an entrepreneurial business.
  • An ambitious Financial Controller/Finance Manager from a start-up, scale-up or high-growth environment who understands the pace, variety and hands-on nature of an evolving finance function.

You'll need to be comfortable operating in an environment where things move quickly. This isn't a role for someone who simply wants to maintain established processes — there is a real opportunity to build, improve and influence.

Why join?

The business combines the energy and entrepreneurialism of a growth company with an established track record of success. You'll be joining a high-performing business with ambitious growth plans, an excellent culture and a leadership team that genuinely values finance. For someone with the right ambition, this offers the opportunity to grow your responsibilities and career as the business continues to scale.
