Our client is looking for 2 refuse drivers to drive LGV vehicles around the local area to undertake the collection of refuse and recyclables. You will be expected to drive and assist with the loading when required.
Job Specification
- Driving to specific locations throughout the area
- Assisting with loading when required
- Follow safety guidelines and adhere to standard operating procedures
- Comply with all traffic laws and drive according to the speed limit, pre-trip checklists, and follow safety policies
- Perform pre-trip physical checks, post-trip inspections and report defects in order to ensure our customers’ satisfaction
- Provide excellent customer service and support to all customers
- Report any accidents or defective vehicles to the management
- Other duties as assigned
Person Specification
- Hold a valid Class 2 driving licence + CPC/Digi card
- Previous waste management or recycling experience is welcomed
- Punctual, dedicated, and dependable
- Always behave in a conscientious manner towards others and with a strong regard for safety
- You will be required to pass a driving assessment and induction prior to starting.
Hours of operation are Tuesday to Friday, 37 hours per week. Hourly rate for this position will start at £13.26 per hour rising to £15.00 after 12 weeks.
