PPA Cover Primary Teacher – East Newcastle upon Tyne £20–£23 per hour + accrued holiday pay

Education World is working with a fantastic primary school in the East end of Newcastle upon Tyne seeking a PPA Cover Teacher to support their teaching team. This is an excellent opportunity to work across different year groups, delivering engaging lessons while providing teachers with valuable planning, preparation and assessment time. This role would suit a confident teacher who enjoys variety, building relationships with pupils, and stepping into classrooms ready to make a positive impact.

The Role

  • Deliver high-quality lessons across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2 classes
  • Provide PPA cover across the school as required
  • Maintain strong classroom management and a positive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and leadership teams
  • Ensure continuity of learning for pupils during teacher release time

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching within a UK primary school setting
  • Strong classroom management and adaptability across year groups
  • Enthusiastic, reliable and confident in delivering pre-planned lessons
  • A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
