We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in submersible pump systems to join our engineering team.
This is a hands-on role involving the installation, maintenance, fault finding, commissioning, and repair of electrical systems associated with submersible pumps across a range of industrial, water, wastewater, and commercial sites.
The successful candidate will have excellent electrical fault-finding skills, experience working with three-phase equipment, and a solid understanding of pump control systems and automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, maintain and repair submersible pump systems.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults on pumping equipment.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown work.
- Test, inspect and certify electrical installations in accordance with current regulations.
- Work on single-phase and three-phase electrical systems.
- Install and maintain motor control centres (MCCs), control panels and pump control equipment.
- Fault find on PLC-controlled systems and pump automation where applicable.
- Configure and commission variable speed drives (VSDs) and soft starters.
- Carry out motor replacements, alignment and commissioning.
