My client is looking for a Logistics/ Transport Coordinator to join their team, you will be involved with the transfer of products between the sites. This would suit someone who is disciplined, organised and proactive. You will need to understand stock availability and keep senior people updated.
Duties:
- Work with and action requests from the Management Operations Group to ensure stock availability for transfers.
- Work closely with various stakeholders to arrange transfer schedules between locations.
- Efficiently manage working area to ensure inbound and outbound transfers are segregated and routed correctly.
- Ensuring all transfers bookings are correctly entered.
- Resolve any internal transfer-related issues, such as delays and damages.
- Communicate with internal teams to provide updates on transfer status.
- Assist in conducting periodic audits.
- Identify areas for improvement.
- Assist the Departmental and Returns teams.
- Own and efficiently control transfer jobs, including generation, closedown and query resolution.
- Triage equipment destined for repair and process onto repairs tickets.
- Route inbound transfers to the correct department, highlighting urgent or specific equipment.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies relating to safe loading practices.
- Support the Management Team to ensure that all health and safety policies are followed such as fire evacuation procedures and accident/near miss reporting.
- Ensure that all items are correctly scanned to the correct job every time.
- To complete all quality checks to ensure all transfers are sent out and received accurately.
