Job Title: Trainee CNC Machinist
Job Overview
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee CNC Machinist to join our production team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in engineering and develop practical skills in CNC machining.
Full training will be provided to learn how to operate CNC machinery, read engineering drawings, use measuring equipment and manufacture precision components to the required standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced machinists with the operation of CNC machinery.
- Learn to set up and operate CNC milling and turning machines.
- Read and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Learn to use measuring equipment, including verniers, micrometers and gauges.
- Inspect finished components to ensure they meet quality requirements.
- Load and unload materials and components safely.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Follow company procedures and health and safety guidelines.
- Work as part of a team to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Develop knowledge of machining processes, tooling and CNC programming.
