My client is looking for an Art worker to join their team. This is a manual/computer-based role, carrying out the initial stages of the print process. You will be creating print-ready files with print sheets for print operators. Once trained, you will be given more responsibility, which would include taking the lead on running samples, colour matching, and running new client samples, demonstrating creativity and the ability to manipulate artwork and print software to create the desired print finish.
Responsibilities/Skills:
- Preparing print-ready artwork using Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Caldera RIP software
- Operation of all in-house printing and cutting machines
- Sense checking all print jobs to ensure they are fit for production/printing
- Maintaining stock levels
- Ordering materials for printers
- Colour matching/Pantone matching
- Liaising with engineers for print machine maintenance
- Maintaining a database of all print-ready files and filing accordingly in client folders
- Creating print operation sheets for print and cut operators
- Working with sales and project managers R&D creating new print finishes and print methods in down-time
