evyve develops, owns, and operates a public network of rapid and ultra-rapid electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across the UK, powered by 100% certified renewable energy. We partner with property owners to install chargers at convenient locations such as retail parks, restaurants, and pubs. Rapidly growing in number of chargers, we are removing the charging barrier to EV adoption.
This is an analyst role in a small, fast-moving company. You will work directly with the CFO, and your analysis will land in front of the leadership team and shape real decisions: where we build next, how we price, and how we measure whether our strategy changes are working.
Reporting to the CFO, you will run evyve's financial planning and analysis (FP&A). The core of the job is analysing our financial and operational data (charging sessions, site performance, utilisation, pricing), building models on it, and turning it into clear reporting the leadership team can act on.
Key Responsibilities
- Management Reporting: Produce concise, board-ready reporting combining financial and operational data
- Financial Analysis: Proactively analysing financial performance to support operational and strategic decision-making
- Month-End Support: Supporting month-end processes, reviewing costs and preparing cost allocations.
- Process Improvement: Collaborating with stakeholders to improve efficiency, governance and financial controls
- Stakeholder Liaison: Acting as a key interface between finance, operation and commercial teams
- Ad Hoc Support: Providing finance-related support and insight as required
What you must have
- Advanced Excel: you are fluent in lookups (XLOOKUP), absolute and relative references, pivot tables, and building structured, auditable models from raw data.
- Strong data analysis skills: you can take a messy dataset, interrogate it, spot the anomalies, and draw commercially relevant conclusions
- Clear written and verbal communication: you can present insight to senior, non-technical stakeholders
- A proactive, autonomous working style: you are comfortable owning problems end-to-end in a fast-paced start-up environment
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. finance, economics, maths, science, engineering)
- Power BI (report building, DAX, data modelling) or similar BI tooling
- Experience with SQL, Python, or modern data platforms (e.g. Microsoft Fabric)
- Studying towards ACCA/CIMA/ACA
What We Offer
- £35,000 – £40,000 salary with benefits
- Direct exposure to the CFO and leadership team, with influence on company decisions
- The opportunity to shape the finance and data function of a fast-scaling business
- A mission-driven company contributing to the UK's net-zero goals
- Professional development support, including funding for qualifications if desired
