We’re looking for a hands-on Project Engineer to join our growing team. You will take the lead on coordination of all project elements including engineering, quality planning, installation, commissioning and final buy-off phases as well as ensuring the project remains within budget and in line with customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Management responsibility for all elements of the projects to keep on track to timing plans, within budget as well as achievement to other relevant KPIs.
- Work closely with the customers to react quickly to any changes to specification or project requirements.
- Manage Customer and internal Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and participate in Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) processes.
- Apply specific technical skills as required to support customer or colleagues and assist design verification and sign off reporting.
- Produce clear, focused and understandable explanations for change requests (PCR / ECN) and accurately cost any change in specification.
- Anticipate any potential project risks, identifying and establishing corrective actions and performing root cause analysis to resolve problems.
- Participate in Failure Mode and Effects Analyse (PFMEA), quality history reviews, robustness studies, etc.
- Experience working in an Automotive supplier into OEMs.
- Ability to work with multiple projects at various stages of product life cycle and plan and prioritise effectively.
- Proactive and able to cope with autonomous nature of the role to be able to decide the best way forward when confronted with issues.
- Confident communicator across all levels of the business and with customers.
- Engineering background (education or experience) to help in reading engineering drawings and being able to work with customers to develop solutions to any technical issues that may arise.
