Media Network Specialist to help customers design and deploy core networking topologies for the broadcast and media facility domain.
Responsibilities
- Work with customers and system integrators to design networking solutions capable of transporting live content (uncompressed) over dedicated high-bandwidth IP networks, including the deployment of the following network services: multicast & unicast L3 routing, PTP & NTP, LLDP, NMOS, DHCP, DNS.
- Gathering, planning, and assessing configuration of converged designs mixing real-time media, file media, and control network into a solution for our clients.
- Maintenance of automated configuration toolsets, including documentation and revision control using technologies such as Ansible, Python, Git, and containers.
- Identify architectural risks and propose alternatives and solutions.
- Team up with outside vendors to successfully test and integrate new technology.
- Discover and implement new technologies that simplify the network environment while improving security and performance.
- Track, report, and proactively deploy firmware/software updates on switching equipment when needed.
- Create and maintain up-to-date documentation of the configuration of deployed solutions.
- Involvement in the early go-to-market of emerging solutions for media routing and infrastructure domains, starting with EVS MediaInfra Strada.
- Support our delivery and support teams on Network design or troubleshooting.
Qualifications
- 5+ years working with large-scale media networks.
- A proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale mission-critical networks.
- Experience with automation and scripting.
- Media Technology and broadcast experience.
Preferred Technical Experience
- Broadcast IP Routing system deployments and connections to adjacent networking.
- BS, Computer Science.
- Experience with Spine-leaf Architecture.

Technical Skills
- Knowledge of SMPTE ST 2110 β Professional Media Over Managed IP Networks standards.
- Understanding of concepts and technologies specified in JT-NM TR-1001-1.
- Cisco CCNA, or equivalent Arista ACE certifications or proven equal expertise.
- Expert knowledge and hands-on experience with network platforms such as Arista and Cisco.
- Expert network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting skills.
Languages
- Knowledge of other languages is an asset.
