Job Description
As a experienced Service Engineer reporting to the Service Manager, you’ll undertake preventative maintenance, servicing and repair for all types of company products and commissioning across Scotland. Covering a wide range of applications and in addition to supporting the customers, you will be providing technical support over the telephone. Tasked with providing product improvement and new sales opportunity feedback, you’ll need to communicate effectively with your colleagues in field service planning, commercial and engineering departments.\\n\\nYou will need to have experience of working with building management systems (in particular control systems) construction sites and a flexible can-do approach.\\n\\nOther accountabilities as Service Engineer will include:\\n\\n* Dealing confidently and professionally with customers on-site\\n\\n* Reporting accurately on all service visits, with accountability for component stock\\n\\n*Accounting accurately PPM schedules\\n\\n*Installation and commissioning of company products\\n\\n*Supporting customers on products and usage\\n\\n*Working on a variety of different construction sites\\n\\n*Knowledge of Electrical and Mechanical contracting\\n\\n*Managing own van stock\\n\\n*Experience of building management control systems from a variety of services, this could be from HVAC products, lighting, power generators, heating/ventilation units to name a few.\\n\\nThe ideal candidate will have a hands on background from the building services sector and be time served within this field.
You will ideally have a relevant Mechanical or Electrical qualification and a recognised HVAC qualification is desirable. Your experience could have potentially come from a variety of industries, electrical installations, commissioning of building services or the integration of HVAC products. This role is about finding the right individual who has a mindset to be motivated to deliver excellent customer service with a problem solving attitude.
A strong all-round communicator, self-motivated and able to both work alone and as one of a team, you will also have a full valid driving licence.\\n\\nPlease be aware this role covers clients within Scotland so the ideal candidate could be located within a commutable distance from anywhere in the Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee or Aberdeen area to name a few locations. The role may include some over night stays to cover the UK client base, covering annual leave or a potential large scale project. Over time and over night payment expenses are on top of salary listed with one day working from home each week (normally Friday)\\n\\nThe client will provide full, on-the-job product training.\\n\\nThe salary is based on the experience of the candidate so please get in touch to discuss your skill-set in more detail
