Role Overview
As the Head of Legal, you'll have the exciting opportunity to shape the legal landscape of a leading crypto company.
Working closely with top executives and product teams, you'll influence product development from inception, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
In this fully remote role, you'll drive the company's regulatory strategy and play a pivotal role in its expansion into new markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the company's senior legal authority across crypto regulation, digital assets, and B2B Saa S/technology matters.
- Partner directly with CEO, CTO, CISO, and Product leadership from the earliest stages of product development.
- Own and evolve the company's regulatory strategy across crypto payments, processing, wallets/custody, and blockchain infrastructure.
- Manage Saa S/API agreements, enterprise contracts, SLAs, data processing agreements, outsourcing arrangements, etc.
- Lead the company's approach to operational resilience and information security compliance, including DORA, GDPR, and ICT/outsourcing requirements.
- Advise on technical and architectural decisions with legal and regulatory implications.
- Continuously monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on the company's products and business model.
- Support the company's expansion into new markets and jurisdictions, ensuring products are built and launched with the right regulatory foundation.
Requirements
- Proven ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical product and architecture decisions.
- Solid working knowledge of Mi CA and other crypto regulatory regimes.
- Strong expertise in crypto/digital assets and blockchain infrastructure.
- Technical fluency: comfortable engaging with CTO, CISO, and Product teams on technical topics.
- Experience with DORA, GDPR, and ICT/outsourcing requirements.
- Languages: English
- Experience in fintech
