About the role

This is a mobile based role which involves travelling throughout the Manchester, Liverpool and NW region. This role is fully supported from our Elland regional office and includes working on a varied portfolio of commercial buildings as a Mobile Multi-Skilled AC Engineer.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out the servicing and repairs of commercial air-conditioning and refrigeration units.
  • Working on various air conditioning systems - VRV / VRFs, split and multi-split systems, packaged chillers, DX coils, screw and recip compressors.
  • Efficiently delivering PPM and reactive maintenance, including fault finding, repair and installation of electrical services.
  • Completing all paperwork and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Being proactive, using your initiative and taking ownership of situations.
  • Ensuring all work carried out is done so within the H&S requirements.
  • Ensuring that all technical services are carried out in an efficient and effective manner, and in line with all industry / regulatory requirements.

About you

Having succeeded in a similar role, you'll have relevant professional qualifications and be proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of the wider team. You will also be able to build and maintain relationships across the organisation and with our customers. You would ideally be located in Manchester or Liverpool area.

Qualifications and Experience

  • NVQ (City & Guilds) Level 2 in Refrigeration/Air-conditioning service.
  • Maintenance experience with VRV's, VRF's, chillers, and air handling units.
  • Experience with maintenance and repair of refrigeration systems (such as cold rooms) would be advantageous.
  • General experience in building services environment.
  • Good technical knowledge as well as the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise own workload to deadlines.
  • Ability to work under pressure and on your own initiative.
  • Ability to work from instruction and make decisions as needed with minimal supervision.
  • Friendly and approachable nature with great communication skills (including written).
  • Great attention to detail with excellent time management skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Remuneration

This is a permanent position, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week between 08.00 am to 17.00 pm. Starting salary of £42,000 p/a. Regular overtime opportunities. 25 days holiday per year, plus bank holidays. Fully expensed company van. Company pension, sick pay and life insurance. Training & development programme.
