Overview We are currently recruiting for a Project Officer to join the Finance team in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, UK.Role: Project OfficerHours: Part Time, 16 hours per weekRole Type: Permanent, Hybrid RoleSalary: £25,000 – £26,000, excellent benefits package plus annual bonusesLocation: Abingdon, OxfordshireEvotec is a leader in the discovery and development of novel small molecule drugs with operational sites in Europe and the US. Leveraging these skills and expertise the Company intends to develop best-in-class differentiated therapeutics and deliver superior science-driven discovery alliances with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies
Responsibilities
Reviewing new contracts for project set up and customer invoicing
Raise and issue invoices and credit notes to customers through various Evotec entities
Proactively manage monthly invoicing
Work closely with Sales and Project Coordinator and project managers and respond in timely manner to any requests that they have
Run the monthly timesheet reconciliation process
Work to tight deadlines in closing sales at month end
Collate monthly/quarterly items for recharge
Monitor Intercompany transactions with other Evotec entities
Manage project completion and keep project information up to date
Deal with customer queries regarding payments and outstanding invoices in a professional and timely manner
Review aged debtors, chase for overdue payments and escalate issues as required
Prepare documentation for yearly audit where applicable and assist auditors with queries
Work closely with all finance teams, Group Controlling and Sales Order Book Administrators and provide support with month-end reconciliations
Assist Finance Analyst with maintaining and updating the sales order book for the group.
Monitor time booked on projects and compare against contracts on a monthly basis
Ensure customer master data on ERP system is up to date
Due to tight month-end deadlines, you may have to work flexibly during month end.

Conform with and abide by all regulatory guidance and internal policies & procedures.
Document policies, procedures and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility.
Contribute to department and organisation special projects as required.
Continuously strive to develop personal role in the organisation to maximise benefit brought to the Finance function in general
Education & Experience
Previous experience of working in financial reporting departments.
Familiar with working in an international environment a benefit
Strong level of Microsoft office skills

Strong interpersonal negotiation and inter-cultural communication skills, and a team player. This role requires someone who can juggle multiple tasks in an organised and effective way.

Company Benefits
Pension on completion of (but not subject to) your 3-month probationary period. Contributions 6% for employees (salary sacrifice) and 6% for the employer. The employee can opt to increase their contribution and the employer will match the increase up to a maximum of 7.5%.
