The Head of Event Engagement is responsible for driving pipeline growth through strategic event planning, execution, and follow-up. This role ensures operational excellence by organizing the team, establishing clear processes, and overseeing flawless execution of all event-related activities. In addition, this role makes sure that events serve as a high-impact lead generation channel by managing pre-event outreach, in-event engagement, and post-event conversion activities. The position combines operational excellence, data-driven decision-making, and collaboration with commercial teams to maximize ROI from events.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Organization
- Lead and structure the Event Engagement team to ensure clarity of roles and accountability.
- Build a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on delivering measurable outcomes.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and performance management to team members.
- Process Design & Governance
- Develop and implement standardized processes for pre-event planning, in-event engagement, and post-event follow-up.
- Ensure workflows are documented, communicated, and consistently applied across all events.
- Continuously review and improve processes for efficiency and scalability.
- Meeting Management During Events
- Maintain a centralized meeting calendar for all event engagements.
- Capture detailed notes and log interactions in CRM in real time, working alongside Sales.
- Provide daily progress summaries for leadership and adjust tactics as needed.
- Support marketing and Sales attendance as needed.
- Post-Event Follow-Up
- Score and prioritize leads; route qualified leads to BD or Sales teams.
- Organise a follow-up strategy and monitor success.
- Review KPIs (meetings booked, leads generated, conversion rates) and report insights.
- Repurpose event content for follow-up campaigns and nurture sequences, working alongside stakeholders.
- Performance Monitoring
- Track event ROI and pipeline contribution; identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on engagement outcomes and process adherence.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong understanding of event marketing and lead generation workflows.
- Proven ability to design and implement operational processes.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, business intelligence tools and data-driven decision-making.
