Field Service Power Distribution Engineer (LV) .

This is an excellent opportunity for an electrical field service professional who enjoys working directly with customers, travelling to different sites, and supporting mission-critical electrical infrastructure across a wide range of industries.

About the Role

As an Field Service Power Distribution Engineer, you will support customers with the installation, commissioning, testing, maintenance and servicing of low voltage power distribution equipment.

Working from home, you will travel to customer locations throughout the UK and, depending on the assignment, across the EMEA region.

You will become the technical face of the organisation, ensuring customers receive high-quality service while maintaining the highest standards of safety, reliability and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, commission and maintain low voltage switchgear and power distribution equipment.
  • Perform testing, fault finding and troubleshooting activities.
  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance at customer sites.
  • Support commissioning and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
  • Interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Build strong relationships with customers during site visits.
  • Prepare technical reports following service activities.
  • Collaborate closely with internal engineering and project teams.
  • What We Are Looking For
  • Experience working with Low Voltage (LV) switchgear or power distribution equipment.
  • Candidates with Medium Voltage (MV) switchgear experience are also encouraged to apply.
  • Previous experience within field service, commissioning, installation or maintenance.
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Customer-focused approach with excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the UK and, where required, within the EMEA region.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Existing right to work in the UK
