This covers GDPR Compliant Guest Wi-Fi, SD WAN Networks, Managed Wi-Fi/LAN Infrastructure, Broadband / Leased Lines, Network Security, PCI Consultancy, and structured cabling.
The Finance Director plays a critical role in the growth and strategic direction of the organisation. The Finance Director will deputise for the CFO when required, taking day-to-day ownership of the Finance function ensuring robust financial management, compliance, and governance. This role is accountable for delivering financial insight, driving commercial value, and building a high-performing Finance team to support sustainable long-term growth.
Key Accountabilities- Strategic Leadership
- Act as deputy to the CFO, representing Finance in leadership forums and investor interactions when required.
- Support the CFO in preparing board materials, investor information needs, and ad hoc projects.
- Contribute to shaping the business’s financial strategy, capital structure, and value creation plan aligned with private equity investors.
- Partner with the Leadership Team to support the CFO and Board in delivering the company’s long-term growth strategy.
- Ensure strong financial planning, risk management, and governance frameworks are in place.
- Provide financial insight to assess potential acquisitions, investments, and growth opportunities.
- Act as a senior voice on risk, compliance, and return on investment in strategic decision-making.
- Lead all aspects of financial management including reporting, planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and audit requirements, maintaining the highest standards of governance.
- Oversee cash flow, working capital, and treasury management to ensure financial stability and operational efficiency.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders including auditors, tax advisors, banks, lawyers, and private equity investors.
- Drive efficiency and value creation across the business, balancing short-term performance with long-term investment priorities.
- Take ownership of finance transformation projects, including supporting integration of new systems (e.g. ApprovalMax, Halo PSA) and ensure best-practice financial governance.
- Commercial Insight
- Lead financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and inform initiatives including pricing strategies, margin optimisation, and other commercial decision-making.
- Collaborate across departments to provide commercial support (including business case development and assessment) and improve performance visibility.
- Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable and meaningful insights for stakeholders and non-financial colleagues.
- Develop KPIs and dashboards to track operational metrics, revenue growth, customer profitability, and cost efficiency.
- Leadership & People
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance team, shaping the culture and operating model of the function.
- Build the future capabilities of the Finance team to meet the demands of a rapidly growing business.
- Foster a culture of accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement within the Finance function.
- Contribute actively as a member of the Leadership Team, helping shape the organisation’s culture, values, and long-term direction.
About you: Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience in a senior finance leadership role, ideally within a private equity-backed or high-growth environment.
