They’re seeking a Medical Science Liaison to join their UK Medical Affairs team, building trusted relationships with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders, supporting medical strategy, and contributing to impactful clinical programmes. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Medical Affairs professional to play a key role in a dynamic and evolving therapy area. This is a part-time role working 3 days per week on an 18-month fixed-term contract. The role covers the whole of the UK, with monthly team meetings held in London.

Ideal Requirements for the Medical Science Liaison
- A degree in a life science, medical or pharmacy discipline, with a strong scientific foundation and a passion for advancing patient care through innovative medicines.
- At least two years' experience within a Medical Affairs role in the pharmaceutical industry, with Rare Diseases experience being an advantage.
- Confident in applying scientific expertise to support healthcare professionals and contribute to medical strategy.
- A sound understanding of the ABPI Code of Practice, with the ability to apply it confidently to ensure all medical activities are delivered ethically, compliantly and to the highest professional standards.
- Excellent communication, presentation and organisational skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships, manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams in a dynamic, field-based role.
Role Responsibilities for the Medical Science Liaison
- Become a trusted medical expert in Rare Diseases, building deep scientific and product knowledge to provide expert medical insights and support both internal teams and external healthcare professionals.
- Build and develop influential relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) across the UK, collaborating with leading experts to shape medical strategy, drive scientific exchange, and advance patient care.
- Lead high-impact medical initiatives, including national advisory boards, Phase IIIb/IV clinical studies, and investigator-initiated research, playing a key role in generating real-world evidence and advancing innovation in Rare Diseases.
- Shape the UK & Ireland Medical Affairs strategy by working cross-functionally with Medical, Commercial, Market Access, and Global teams to deliver impactful medical plans that improve access to innovative therapies and ultimately benefit patients.
