This role offers the opportunity to supervise a shift team and ensure the reliable operation of essential building services across a critical site.
You'll be the go‑to expert for maintaining key systems and managing reactive tasks efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a shift team in delivering planned and reactive maintenance to building services.
- Ensure optimal operation of HVAC, UPS, Generators, and LV systems, using BMS and alarm data for fault diagnosis.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors on‑site, ensuring safety and compliance with work permits and procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation through a computer‑based maintenance system (e. g., Maximo), ensuring timely updates and completion of tasks.
- Champion safe working practices, ensuring method statements and risk assessments are followed at all times.
- Keep plant rooms secure, clean, and serviceable, with available spares and tools to respond quickly to system faults.
- Lead on the delivery of KPI/SLA targets and ensure reports and shift handovers meet required standards.
Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Strong experience in a technical building services environment, ideally within critical infrastructure.
- Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, fault‑finding, and BMS operation.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams, subcontractors, and operational priorities.
- Excellent problem‑solving mindset, attention to detail, and commitment to health and safety.
