A fantastic opportunity to work for one of the industry's biggest FM service providers situated in Canary Wharf who are looking for multiple Shift Engineers. The successful candidates will be multi-skilled with a wealth of building maintenance experience. They will be based on a critical site in Canary Wharf. In return, the company is offering up to £53,500 based on experience/qualifications and career progression.
Hours of work: Continental Shift Pattern - Days & Nights 7am – 7pm / 7pm – 7am

Key duties & responsibilities:
- To carry out PPM in accordance with set schedules, ensuring engineering standards are maintained in order to maximise the operational effectiveness and reliability of the Plant and associated Electrical & Mechanical systems.
- Adherence to set engineering standards in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) requirements.
- To ensure onsite Quality Assurance procedures are adhered to in all respects and to maintain accurate records/documentation associated with the Electrical & Mechanical aspects of the PPM and plant.
- To respond in a prompt and effective manner to all Electrically & Mechanically related reactive maintenance issues and help desk requests.
- Carry out technical surveys of the above services and systems, reporting findings to the Supervisor. Producing list costs of material required for any minor works required.
- To co-ordinate initial actions associated with all requests from the client. Dealing with customer enquiries and complaints, reporting actions taken to line management.
- Undertake follow up actions required to resolve situational circumstances for which you have been authorised to undertake.
- Be an active participant in reviewing existing and implementing new techniques to enhance the service to our clients.
- Electrical & Mechanical fault diagnosis associated with the PPM or Reactive maintenance of the site.
- Carry out minor installation work to the above services and systems.
- Repair and maintenance of lighting and distribution systems.
- To co-ordinate visiting specialist sub-contractors associated with Electrical & Mechanical aspects of the PPM schedules. Surveying and accepting new works carried out by specialist sub-contractors.
- Carry out duties in accordance with company procedures and the clients’ requirements in order to fulfil contractual obligations.
- In conjunction with other team members and other locations, establish contingency measures to ensure full services are available during periods of absence. Providing cover where necessary at other sites within a reasonable distance.
- Undertake any training that may be required to fulfil duties.
- Maintain test equipment and tools associated with your role, ensuring they are fit for purpose at all times.
- To comply with any and all instructions given by Supervisor. Undertaking any other duties as reasonably requested, which are within your competence and experience.
- Undertake training to gain site High Voltage AP (Authorised Person) status and/or Mechanical AP (Authorised Person) status.

- City & Guilds - Level 2 & 3
- City & Guilds - 17th or 18th Edition
- F-Gas
- A proven track record in Building Maintenance working
- Good Communication Skills.
- Multi-Skilled - Mechanical / Electrical.
- Knowledge of UPS / Generators / Power Distribution / HVAC / HV LV etc.
