We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join a leading facilities management provider on a high-profile commercial contract. This role is working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key part in maintaining critical building systems to the highest standard. You will carry out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive work across all mechanical systems, including HVAC, hot & cold-water systems, and generators. Your ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues using system data and graphical information will be central to keeping the facility running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver PPM and reactive maintenance across all mechanical plant in line with site schedules and asset lists.
- Ensure plant faults and defects are swiftly rectified to maintain operational efficiency.
- Prepare and follow Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of all reactive, breakdown, and maintenance work.
- Develop strong working relationships with colleagues, subcontractors, and client representatives.
- Supervise subcontractor work as needed and ensure all H&S and contractual standards are met.
- Keep plant rooms secure, clean, and tidy at all times.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training in a mechanical engineering discipline (HVAC, Plumbing, or similar).
- City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent.
