Facilities Fabric Engineer

Location: Basildon

Salary: 40,000

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, split shift

Shift Pattern: Week 1: 6:00am to 3:00pm | Week 2: 1:00pm to 10:00pm

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Facilities Fabric Engineer to join a professional Building Services team based in Basildon. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive fabric maintenance across a commercial building environment, ensuring facilities are maintained to a high standard and issues are resolved efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across the building.
  • Undertake general fabric and building maintenance works.
  • Carry out repairs to doors, locks, ironmongery, walls, ceilings, flooring and other building fabric.
  • Complete basic plumbing and carpentry repairs where required.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and attend breakdowns in a timely manner.
  • Identify defects and report any issues requiring specialist attention.
  • Assist with general building services and facilities maintenance.
  • Work alongside electrical and mechanical engineers to support the wider engineering team.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete job sheets.
  • Ensure all works are completed in accordance with relevant health and safety regulations.
