The Opportunity
Our client, a leading provider of facilities management services, is seeking an experienced AC Engineer to join their on-site engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled AC Engineer to work within a commercial environment, delivering high-quality maintenance and repair services across a range of HVAC systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems within a commercial setting
- Perform planned preventive maintenance (PPM) to ensure optimal system performance
- Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment
- Ensure all work is completed in line with relevant health & safety standards and industry regulations
- Identify opportunities for system improvements and recommend solutions
- Support and mentor junior team members where required
- Maintain accurate records of work completed using CAFM systems
- Ensure all tasks are completed within agreed service level agreements (SLAs) and KPIs
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders regarding technical issues
- Operate as a proactive AC Engineer, ensuring minimal downtime across all systems
Requirements
- F-Gas Certification (Category 1 preferred)
- Proven experience (5+ years) in a similar HVAC or AC Engineer role
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Experience working within commercial building environments
- Familiarity with CAFM systems (e.g., Maximo or similar)
- Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office)
- Good communication and organisational skills
Additional Information
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling tasks (up to 20kg+)
- Comfortable working at height and using ladders where required
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team
- A motivated and reliable AC Engineer with a strong work ethic
