We are seeking a clinician who possesses the clinical bridge between standard primary care excellence and the unique challenges of forensic and secure environment medicine.
This position offers a distinct clinical environment, focusing on the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care to a diverse and often vulnerable population. - Start Date: Immediate (Subject to clearance verification)
Key Clinical Responsibilities
The successful General Practitioner will lead on a variety of clinical workflows, ensuring patient safety and effective healthcare outcomes within the facility:

- Clinical Governance: Adhering to strict NHS England and CQC (Care Quality Commission) standards, ensuring all medical records are maintained with meticulous accuracy on systems such as SystmOne.
Essential Qualifications & Requirements
Due to the nature of the environment, specific compliance criteria are mandatory:
- GMC Registration: Full and current registration with a License to Practise and inclusion on the GP Register.
- Prison Clearance: Mandatory active prison clearance (HMPPS/NOMS/CTC). Due to the lengthy nature of the vetting process, we can only consider candidates who currently hold valid clearance.
