Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Holistic Patient Care: Provide comprehensive, evidence-based, and person-centred nursing care and support to a diverse patient demographic, strictly adhering to the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) professional standards and code of conduct.
- Clinical Interventions: Safely and accurately administer prescribed medications, manage complex wound care management plans, and diligently monitor, record, and interpret patients' vital signs.
- Care Planning: Develop, review, and implement highly individualised care plans in close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team (MDT), ensuring the physical, emotional, and psychological needs of every patient are met.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain meticulous, accurate, and confidential electronic health records (EHR) to ensure absolute Care Quality Commission (CQC) compliance and audit readiness.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Provide strong clinical leadership on the floor, effectively supervising junior nursing staff, student nurses, and healthcare assistants (HCAs) to maintain a safe, efficient, and harmonious clinical environment.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Valid NMC Pin: You must be a fully Registered Adult Nurse (RGN) with a current, valid, and unrestricted registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Clinical Experience: Proven post-qualification experience working within acute care hospital settings, elderly care facilities, nursing homes, or community nursing environments across the UK is highly desirable.
- Advanced Clinical Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, sharp critical thinking abilities, and the capacity to remain calm and work effectively under high-pressure healthcare environments.
- Strict Compliance: Candidates must possess the legal right to work in the UK and be willing to undergo a comprehensive pre-employment screening process, including an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
- Communication Excellence: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage empathetically with patients, their families, relatives, and multidisciplinary healthcare colleagues.
